Analyzing Combustion Efficiency According to Spray Characteristics of Gas-Centered Swirl-Coaxial Injector

The momentum flux ratio (MFR) significantly affects the mixing characteristics and combustion efficiency of propellants in rocket engine injectors. spray three gas-centered swirl-coaxial injectors used a full-scale test were investigated according to change ratio. difference was analyzed through comparison with results using visualization quantification. cross-sectional shape droplet distribution measured structured laser illumination planar imaging technique. As swirl effect more apparent at low MFR, flow rate liquid that sprayed outside high. around gas injection increased MFR. Sauter mean diameter (SMD) each injector obtained shadow method. SMD decreased as MFR all types increased, high small injected towards center exhibited higher than dominant large angle. outcomes study could help contribute increase staged cycle combustor.
